I do a lot more than improv

I do solo + group sketch, standup, write + sing musical parody songs, play my clarinet wherever I go, work with kids, AND BOY do I love to act.

More stuff!

  • Standup

I did standup for 5+ years before I got serious about teaching. Recently have done more with Comedy + Conversations, and was a performer in the 2025 West End Comedy Festival! Here’s an old set!

  • Musical Parodies - Madeline Evans

    Musical Parodies

I love to sing + write, so why not combine them. During the pandemic I wrote + filmed musical parodies, and I now occasionally do some live.

  • Solo Sketch - Madeline Evans

    Solo Sketch

A collection of silly characters for a final solo sketch show audition for a well known TV sketch show at the Atlanta Character Showcase Finals.

ALWAYS THE GOAT

A Comedic Solo Show about Love

Always the Goat - Madeline Evans

In February 2026, I performed my first-ever solo show “Always the Goat” where I combined over a decade of my standup, improv, solo sketch, and diary material into a heartfelt, silly show made to make you laugh and feel warm inside! The show sold out four times at Dad’s Garage, the biggest improv theater in the Southeast, leading to a fifth show added that also sold out. Stay tuned to where you can next see “Always the Goat!”

Always the Goat is an anomaly; seamlessly melding sharpness with vulnerability, precision with whimsy, and structure with a whole lotta silliness. Madeline crafted a work of art so true, you might see yourself in its reflection. Don’t miss it!

I was so blown away by the creativity and vulnerability in the show. It was bold, brave, and beautiful. I was inspired, and I know for sure Madeline moved many other people to accept themselves. It was an artistic, romantic coming-of-age story for a girl who loves love. We all lived through her.

Madeline is a joy to watch! Pure enthusiasm, creativity, vulnerability, and fun is what makes great art, and Madeline Evans’s Always the Goat is the epitome of that!

Get to Know Me!

Why Mads Joy?

Most affectionately (and jokingly because I am nowhere near as aggressive as I was when I played sports) people know me as “Maddawg”. But my nickname for those close to me is “Mads”! The “Joy” is what I focus on in my comedy and teaching. It is what we are all after, but also tend to forget so easily when the world is overwhelming. The “me” stands for my initials and is a “wink wink” to my 5th grade Student Council President campaign “Vote for ME, M.E.” I was shy and somehow won against the “popular” kids, teaching me that anything is possible if you care, are passionate, and pursue kindness.
